Doors Open Day Tomorrow! Saturday 11th Sept
Doors open day- Swallows and Amazons take over The Matthew!
Bristol Old Vic will again be part of doors open day, as well as our café, merchandise and box office being open from 10am as normal we will also have:
• Andrew Stocker hosting his remarkable talks about the history and future plans for the Bristol Old Vic. from the historic Theatre royal auditorium. Talks will begin at 10.15am and then at quarter past each hour up to 3.15pm
• In our foyer see the production model for our forthcoming production of the misanthrope
and also access to the -
• The Theatre Royal Side stage to see Kneehigh's Red Shoes being rigged and set up.
• The Paintshop where you can have a go at controlling lights and sounds that would be used in performances
• The studio where you can watch rehearsals for our young company's production of Jason & Medea. There will be films of past young company productions showing in the basement throughout the day.
AHOY ME HEARTIES! SWALLOWS AND AMAZONS HIGHJACK THE MATTHEW! Meet us at 10.30am outside the Arnolfini in your best pirate fancy dress and help us storm the boat! We hear there will be cannons fired, but they will be no match for us! Yarr!
