Bristol Schools Choir Competition - Winter 2014

 

Win tickets for your choir and the chance to perform at the opening night of Bristol Old Vic’s Christmas musical Swallows and Amazons!

 

Today Bristol Old Vic launched its biggest Christmas competition yet, open to all school choirs in the Bristol area.

Taking inspiration from Swallows and Amazons’ love of the sea and sailing, we’re asking all school choirs; primary and secondary, big and small, to send in a recording of any song that takes its inspiration from a life on the open waves!

Anything from nursery rhymes, folk and pop songs to choral works – whatever you decide.

The final winner will be chosen by The Divine Comedy lead singer and Swallows and Amazons composer, Neil Hannon.

 

Closing date: Monday 10 November.

T&C's: Up to a maximum of 60 tickets, subject to availability , best available seats. Opening night performance date: Tue 2 Dec. The winning school will need to provide own transport to Bristol Old Vic.
