A 29-hour, non-stop, improvised soap-opera featuring performers from the Bristol Jam and directed live by Adam Meggido.
Starting at 7pm in the Studio and finishing at midnight the following evening in the Theatre Royal, you can drop in at any time to catch the unfolding story or come with a packed lunch and relish the whole 29 hours!
The action is entirely improvised and takes its performers through sleep deprivation resulting in a wild, joyous and anarchic form of live perfomance. The event was masterminded by the extraordinary Die Nasty troupe from Edmonton, Canada, recognised by The Times as 'The world capital of improvisation.'
Adam Meggido is Artistic Director of The Sticking Place, co-founder of Ken Campell's School Of Night and co-creator of the award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical. He is also the creator of the annual London 50-Hour Improvathon.
Presented by Bristol Jam in Association with The Sticking Place and Die Nasty.
The Sticking Place was nominated for a Peter Brook Empty Space Award in 2007 and a Total Theatre Award in 2008.
