Visiting Bristol Old Vic...

We want to make your visit to Bristol Old Vic as enjoyable and comfortable as possible, so we have provided you with detailed information regarding accessibility in all areas of the theatre.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the box office on 0117 987 7877 or email

General Access

Customers requiring wheelchair access to our Theatre can utilise the Stage Door lift which provides entry to both the Backstage Bar and the performance space.

Our new Theatre entrance is situated off Queen Charlotte Street via Rackhay. As this road is a fire access road, regrettably there is no drop off point however, there are three Disabled Bays immediately opposite on the ground floor of the Queen Charlotte Street NCP car park. For more information regarding drop-off at Bristol Old Vic please click here.

If you require drop off in Rackhay to enter the theatre for access reasons then we are able to accommodate this on request. Please contact or phone 0117 949 3993.

There are allocated wheelchair spaces in the Theatre in the Dress Circle. Please book in advance by phoning 0117 987 7877 and mention any access requirements at this time.

If you would like to find out more information regarding access to our theatre during our redevelopment please click here or phone our Box Office on 0117 987 7877 between the hours of 10am-6pm Monday to Friday and 12pm-6pm on Saturday.
