Rare watercolour donated to theatre
A rare John Stops watercolour of the Coopers' Hall (the main entrance and foyer space of the theatre since 1972) has been donated to Bristol Old Vic for public display.
The Theatre Royal Bristol is one of the finest Georgian theatres still in existence. The entirely Grade I listed Complex is to be redeveloped to support the revitalised Vision of Bristol Old Vic.
We’ll be refurbishing the Theatre Royal and Studio auditoria, creating a range of new performance and rehearsal spaces, constructing a new frontage on King Street, and developing a new Heritage Resource Centre.
Please give us your support!

On Sunday 15th March 2009, the Bristol Old Vic Theatre Club presented a fabulous gala recital by internationally reknowned concert pianist Allan Schiller, to raise funds for the redevelopment!
Catherine Johnson (writer of hit musical 'Mamma Mia!') has written a new black comedy entitled 'Suspension' for our Studio. On Saturday 7th March, she was 'in conversation' to support the Appeal.
