An Evening with Allan Schiller

Allan_schiller_medium

Thank you to all who were involved in this very special event, and especially to Allan himself, for all his hard work, boundless energy and good humour.

Our thanks also to Bristol Old Vic Theatre Club, Mickelburgh Musical Instruments, St George’s Bristol, Venue Magazine, Bristol Evening Post, Just Plants, and to all the staff and volunteers who contributed to the event.

Gerry Parker, writing for the Bristol Evening Post on Monday, described how Allan’s “wonderful technical skills and depth of muscial knowledge” were displayed in a “musically versatile” programme that catered to all tastes, including a Haydn rondo and sonatas by Mozart and Beethoven alongside a selection of “delightful musical lollipops.”

The audience were very appreciative, and a thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all!

The event raised a fantastic 4-figure sum for the appeal – we’ll let you know exactly how much soon, so please check back…
