Flinty Red have taken up residence in our upstairs café-bar/restaurant, providing the Bristol Old Vic with delicious seasonal tapas and an exciting array of drinks.

Flinty Red is a collaboration between chefs Matthew Williamson and Claire Thomson and wine merchants Dominic Harman and Rachel Higgens of Corks of Cotham.

The restaurant on Cotham Hill opened in October 2009 and has since won numerous awards.  Notably, a Bib Gourmand and a Red Grapes symbol from the 2011 and 2013 Michelin guides. Its first year of opening also saw immediate inclusion into the Good Food Guide 2010. Flinty Red was recognised as the best Bristol restaurant by Bristol and Bath's Venue magazine in 2010.

The Flinty Red restaurant & bar is open serving lunch and supper to both theatregoers and the general public on selected show days.

Beat the queues and order your interval drinks online.

We're pleased to offer a new service from AvoidQ that allows you to quickly and easily order interval drinks online before you arrive, avoiding the need to queue.

Our full bar menu is available, and you can either make your order at the same time as booking your tickets, or at any time in advance of the show's start time. Your drinks will then be waiting your collection at the interval for you to enjoy.



This service is available for all shows at Bristol Old Vic that have in interval, including Studio shows. You'll need to know which level your sitting on so we can tell you where to collect your drinks from during the interval. We charge a £1 transaction fee per order. Join us before any evening or lunch performance of Juno and the Paycock for exceptional and exciting Tapas in our upstairs restaurant.

We will be serving food every evening from 5.30pm until 30 minutes before the start of the performance.

Lunch will be available from 12.30pm until 2.00pm.

Evening food service begins at 5.30pm, with lunch starting at 12.30pm, both continue on until 30 minutes prior to the performance.
