Announcing Peter Pan transfer to National Theatre and Jane Eyre national tour

Bristol Old Vic productions to have future life in co-production with the National Theatre
It was announced today that two productions which originated at Bristol Old Vic are to have a future life in co-production with the National Theatre.

Jane Eyre, currently enjoying a sell-out run on its return to Bristol Old Vic, is to embark on a full-scale national tour in 2017, while the 2012 Christmas smash-hit Peter Pan is to be revived at the Olivier as the National Theatre's Christmas show from November this year.

Both productions began at Bristol Old Vic under the direction of Sally Cookson and her team of composer Benji Bower, dramaturg Mike Akers and designers Michael Vale and Katie Sykes.

Bristol Old Vic's executive producer Chloe Elwood said:

"It's no secret to Bristol audiences that Sally Cookson creates truly special theatre as her productions have been hugely popular at both the Tobacco Factory and Bristol Old Vic for many years. We are all thrilled for Sally, whose fearless storytelling is loved by audiences and actors alike, but it's also great news for Bristol Old Vic, particularly in our 250th anniversary year, and a ringing endorsement of the creativity of the city."

Jane Eyre is running at Bristol Old Vic until 6 February 2016.
