Outreach

Bristol Old Vic Outreach is how we connect with parts of the city who don't yet know us, but to whom - along with all Bristolians - this theatre belongs.

Bristol Old Vic Outreach is led by our Associate Director, John Retallack, and involves the Young Company, Made in Bristol, the delivery of professional work specifically to engage young people and disenfranchised audiences, projects in education and community settings and the animation of the theatre programme.

Recently the Outreach Team has been embracing the instinct to collaborate and has worked in partnership with (among others) the National Theatre, The Prince's Trust, Company of Angels, Ashfield Young Offenders Institude, a large number of primary and secondary schools and local artists from across the city and the region. The coming seasons sees more collaboration with the National Theatre on Bassett and many other partnerships across the city.
