New Directors Lay Out Ideas for the Future
This evening Bristol Old Vic's new Artistic and Executive directors, Tom Morris and Emma Stenning, hosted their first public meeting. In front of an auditorium of Bristol based artists and members of the public keen to hear an outline of their plans for the theatre, the message to Bristol was: we are open and we need to know what you think and what your hopes are for the theatre.

September launches the first production at Bristol Old Vic to immerge from the new Theatre Bristol / Bristol Old Vic co-commissioning partnership set up at the end of 2008. Theatre Bristol and Bristol Old Vic are working together to support and build on the exciting energy and vision of artists who are making performance in Bristol. This co-commissioning partnership has been sparked by a shared desire to celebrate fantastic homegrown ideas, and develop a shared sense of adventure amongst artists and audiences.

World Premiere Brings Milligan's Memoirs to Stage
Spike Milligan's celebrated war memoirs are brought to anarchic life in this world premiere co-produced by Bristol Old Vic and Greg Ripley-Duggan. The production will open at Bristol Old Vic on 4 July prior to a four week run at Hampstead Theatre before embarking on a UK national tour.
