Bristol Old Vic Studio

During our redevelopment, Bristol Old Vic Studio will continue to present our own smaller scale productions, as well as work from visiting artists, in alternative venues across the city.

We are delighted that this important and exciting work will continue as we build a brand new Studio theatre designed by award-winning architects Haworth Tompkins. We look forward to opening our new 188 seat, state of the art Studio in the basement of the beautiful Coopers' Hall in 2018.

Our Studio Walkabout Season presents a brilliant studio programme in venues across the city, including the Wardrobe Theatre and The Lantern at Colston Hall.

Sponsor a Seat in the new Studio

The brand new Studio, currently under construction, is available for seat sponsorship and provides an opportunity to support directly the development of new writing, performers and artists - many of whom will begin their careers in this intimate and nurturing space from 2018 onwards.
