Here's a birds-eye view of the auditorium as it begins to be re-assembled.
This timelapse movie is of the work taking place in the auditorium. So far we've found a 16th century ditch, the original flag stones from 1766 when the theatre was first built and archaeological finds such as medieval pottery, animal bones and a cannonball likely to have been used as a counterweight to raise and lower the curtains in the early days of the theatre. The heritage work has exposed a number of elements of the original building fabric such as walls, foundations and staircases.
