Free Script Writing Workshops

Are you aged 15-18 years old?
Do you see yourself as a budding script writer?
Have you always wanted to try your hand at writing but don't know where to start?

Bristol Old Vic have teamed up with Red Rope to create an exciting opportunity for young writers. We are offering a unique scheme, completely free of charge to GCSE and A-Level students who have a passion for creative writing.

From February 2017 Red Rope will be running monthly workshops for students at the Bristol Old Vic, King St. The workshops will be led by award winning Bristol script writer and Artistic Director of Red Rope, Matt Grinter and supported by the Literary and Engagement department of the Bristol Old Vic. We are looking for young writers who wish to learn and expand their creative minds that we can help to nurture and develop their talent. So whether you already have a flare for writing or think you have what it takes to light that spark, we want to hear from you.
