What happens when the song has ended?
When you are a hundred miles from the home you're fighting for, what would you give to hear it again?
When the Great War breaks out a small town stands strong under the occupation. The front line filters into the hearts of those left at home and a group of choristers reunite to fight together. Finding a breath of their past crumbling in the fields of France they risk all they have to protect it.
This is a tale of beauty and of destruction. Using choral music, inventive physical theatre and ensemble performance Hotel Echo Theatre Co. tell a story of the harmonies amongst the chaos.
Hotel Echo were formed as part of Bristol Old Vic's Made in Bristol project, a training scheme for young theatre makers which has previously facilitated the coming together of The Wardrobe Ensemble, The Tin Can Collective and Guilty Party. This year, Hotel Echo present their debut production, Wild Men. Premiering at the Bristol Old Vic, it will be touring to the Tin Forest Festival (National Theatre of Scotland) and Aberdeen Youth International Festival.
