Bristol Old Vic's mission is to place writing for performance at the heart of its organisation, providing a strong base for creative excellence, curiosity, adventure and passion for writers, practitioners and audiences.
Acting as a catalyst for creativity, Bristol Old Vic seeks to provide opportunity and access to writers at all levels of their careers; build mutually beneficial creative partnerships between writers, actors, directors, producers and artists; and encourage creative quality and excellence in the work produced.
Working with writers through a broad range of initiatives and development opportunities, the Bristol Old Vic aims to identify, nurture, develop and commission writers whether they are first time writers or writers who have a substantial body of work behind them.
